Face mask – how often should you use one?
Share
Once or twice a week is a reasonable benchmark for a moisturising gel mask. But it depends which kind of mask you are holding, and that is where most people go wrong.
Different masks, different frequency
Masks that exfoliate or contain acids are used rarely, often once a week or less than that. Masks whose main content is humectants can be used more often.
PDRN Face Mask belongs to the second kind. It is built on glycerin, betaine and trehalose, together with PDRN, collagen and four forms of hyaluronic acid.
Time on the skin
Ten to fifteen minutes. Longer is not better.
Once the sheet starts to dry, the liquid has evaporated, and the mask no longer serves a purpose. That is why packaging states a time rather than telling you to leave it on for as long as you like.
Afterwards
Take the mask off and pat in what remains on the skin. Do not rinse.
Where it fits in the routine
After cleansing and before cream. Evenings work well for most people, since you should not put makeup on straight afterwards.
If you need help with the order in general, we have written about it here.
